ISDN Adapter

ISDN offers much faster connection and data transfer rates than standard analogue connection. ISDN adapters for PCs are priced from £35, while for the Mac expect to pay over £100. What this connection method offers is internet access to one computer. If that computer is running mail server software then Email can be distributed accross the office, otherwise Email is to that computer only.

Modem dial-up

Generaly we recommend clients move to ISDN as soon as possible, as increased connection rates mean less time waiting for downloads and less failed attempts. ISDN is a lot less frustrating than analogue and until an office has a fast robust internet connection it will not be able to capitalise on the internet as a world wide resource on the desktop.
