Title Block Editor Support

Title Block Editor FAQ covering issues and suggestions or suggested workarounds for problems encountered using the Title Block Editor. Should the list below not cover an issue you are having then please call the faCADe office

1. Transferring all title block and revision note data from one
   instance of a title block symbol to another.
• To transfer both the title block record format data and the revision note record format data at the same time, use the Eyedropper tool (Shift-E for Mac) (Alt-E for Windows).
• First change the Record attribute setting in the Eyedropper Tool Preferences.
• Double click on the Eyedropper tool on the Basic tool palette. Located bottom right is the Record attribute, this should be ticked. Click OK to save changes.
• Move to the sheet or design layer containing the target title block symbol...move the cursor over to the title block you want to apply attributes to. While holding down the Option key the cursor changes to a bucket.
• Click on the target title block symbol.
• Return to the source layer and remove both the source title block symbol and the revision note block from the drawing layer.
• Return to the target layer, open up the Title Block Editor and click Save. This will prompt the Revision Note Block to be redrawn complete with previous revision data.
• A simplified version of this manual routine May be incorporated into a future release of the Title Block Editor.
• A simple rule is avoid duplicate title block symbols for the same drawing in a single file.
